Space Swap!
Dear Spacer,
Thank you so much for signing up! This is the first time I've participated in Space Swap but I'm excited-- space and spacey canons have always been close to my heart!
I hope that this letter is helpful and contains information that sparks your interest. :) Feel free to stay in the general likes/dislikes section if that's more your style, or proceed to my rambling/fandom flailing/prompts. I am super into all of my requests and I am sure I will love anything you write!
General Likes/Dislikes
DNWs: Child sexual abuse, incest, kidfic/curtainfic, unrequested ships (I am totally fine with background canon relationships, or former canon relationships being referenced, unless specifically DNW'ed in the individual sections below.)
Fic Likes: Banter, bittersweet endings, casefic, cigarette smoking (if character is a canon smoker), competence kink, complicated family dynamics, corruption, dubious morality/choices, enemies-to-friends-to-lovers (or anywhere in between), forgiveness/absolution, found families, horror*, hurt/comfort, loyalty kink/absolute loyalty, magical realism, moral ambiguity, religious ritual, slice of life, UST, winning in the worst possible way, worldbuilding.
(*Horror: psychological, body, erotic, or paranormal/zombie/scifi; not: slasher, torture, or “Saw”-like scenarios).
'Ship Likes: Angst, banter instead of sex, denial of feelings, first time/relationship firsts, forced proximity, jealousy, mutual/one-sided pining, possessiveness, sexual tension, trust dynamics (such as established trust issues, gaining/losing someone's trust, trusting-someone-despite-everything, etc.)
Kink Likes: Biting, breathplay, dubcon*, dirty talk, edging, light bondage, masturbation, oral sex, orgasm denial, persuasion/reluctance, possessiveness, power dynamics, semi-public sex, sex pollen/whatever the canon equivalent of sex-pollen would be, uniform/suit kink, vampire bloodplay, voice fetishization.
(*A note on dubcon/noncon: I'm okay with a dubcon scenario leaning heavily toward noncon in a "my mind says no but my body says yes" kind of situation.)
AUs/Fusions: I'm not really looking for any setting/fusion AUs for this exchange (since I love these canon settings/have a lot of requests re: worldbuilding!) but if you have a canon divergence/roleswap in mind, I'd be down.
Ratings: I'm happy with G-E. I really don't mind violence, swearing, or anything like that. Gen is great. Smut is great. On the violence/gore scale, from Care Bears to the Saw films... my limit is usually right around Quentin Tarantino.
If you're unsure about something in particular, a good indicator for me is usually 'canon typical.'

Relationship: Sentient Spaceship & Unwilling Passenger
I love the trope of an "AI run amok" and AIs in general. It's essentially humans programming thought into another entity that often takes those thoughts/perspectives in an entirely new direction. Misunderstandings/different perspectives that result from that are MY JAM.
Prompts:
- Dialogue/discussion/an extended conversation between the spaceship and the passenger, where someone's assumptions are proven terribly wrong.
- The passenger does not have to be human. An alien? A monster? Another AI?
- What happened to the rest of the crew? Are they still there? is this a full on-rogue AI or "I'm going to help you, straight to death :)" AI?

Character: David 8
Relationship: David 8 & Elizabeth Shaw
Relationship: David 8/Elizabeth Shaw
Relationship: David 8 & Walter
Heyyyy, remember what I said above about AIs run amok?
Prompts:
- Creepy slice-of-life/day-to-day fic of David and his experiments aboard the Covenant.
- Pre-Prometheus fic where David makes observations on his situation, or the crew members. I adored the Milton "better to rule in hell than serve in heaven" narrative he had going on in Covenant. How does he get to this conclusion?
- I really am kind of sad the way they took Elizabeth's storyline in Covenant. Give me canon divergence where she lives, or in-canon fixit fic where she's still alive. David was going to kill her, but he just couldn't because of ___.
- Canon divergence where David/Elizabeth do contact the Engineers, they kill her, and then David releases his creation on them in retribution. I
love angst, did I mention how much I love angst? - Semi-domestic moments between David & Elizabeth.
- The differences between David 8 and Walter are FASCINATING. What does Walter think about David 8? Is he ever tempted to join him?
- We don't see the ending of the David/Walter fight in Covenant because of the switch plotline. How does he get the upper hand? What happens between them, at the end?

Worldbuilding: Journalism
Worldbuilding: Legacy of the Rebellion in the Resistance Era
The Sequel Trilogy has raised so many interesting questions and worldbuilding opportunities!
Journalism: Okay okay I'll be upfront. I'm a former journalism major, so this topic is endlessly fascinating to me. (Of course, this is all set in a galaxy far far away so we can't judge journalistic practices by modern Earth ones so just know I'm not a stickler for that, dear author!)
Prompts:
- What does this look like in the galaxy, especially regarding the Skywalker saga (Leia as the leader of the Resistance, the myth of Luke Skywalker, the progression of Luke Skywalker AS a Rebellion hero to Jedi myth, the identity of Kylo Ren/the disappearance of Ben Solo, the resurgence of the Imperial remnant/First Order takeover?)
- What do the gossip rags report, and how do they compare/what stories do they tell in comparison to mainstream news? Who's more right?
- What kinds of myths and sagas/reports did Rey get on Jakku that shaped her ideas of "Luke Skywalker"?
Prompts:
- What stories do the young Resistance soldiers tell of the Rebellion? How does it inspire them?
- I'd love any moments/discussion between the Rebellion veterans and their special relationship to General Organa.
- What other stories have slid into myth? What do the Rebel veterans confirm/deny/leave ambiguous?
- Any mentoring between the veterans and the young Resistance fighters/pilots would also be amazing. (Suggestion list: anything involving Akbar, Wedge Antilles, Rogue Squadron, Leia, and Rose, Connix, Finn, or Poe.)

Character: Bellamy Blake
Character: Raven Reyes
Character: Echo
Worldbuilding: Grounders IN SPACE! culture shock
Worldbuilding: Space colonies
I really do love this series and I think there are so many opportunities to explore interesting science fiction questions/ethical dilemmas.
Prompts:
- How are Bellamy/Raven/Echo dealing with the relocation to space? They've basically said goodbye to everyone they know and won't know if they made it. What are those first few months like? What are the challenges? How do they have to rely on each other? Who takes on the leadership role? How do they deal? Bellamy's missing Clarke, Raven's missing Abby/her Super Raven code, Echo's lost her king. How do they recover?
- Culture Shock: Echo & Emori, obviously, have never been in space before. Give me all the fish-out-of-water. The lack of the ground/woods/their clans. (Emori might do a bit better, considering her scavenger/survivor skills, but then...maybe not.)
- “Who we are and who we need to be to survive are very different things.” DISCUSS.
- Echo considers herself banished/a traitor, and Emori was cast out, so what happens now that they have to get along with Skaikru in harsh conditions? (ALL THE FOUND FAMILY STUFF PLEASE).
- Space Colonies: I would adore more pre-series development about the Ark. I'm interested especially in the black market trade Raven was apart of (at least when she was younger?) and the societal/cultural/economic differences between the different stations. There's a lot of class divide in the first season-- I want to know more about that and how it affects Bellamy and/or Raven. At what point do they realize it doesn't matter anymore?
